I wake up and head out with Jenna and Whitney to the V & A to take a second look at the museum since we had so little time the first round. The museum’s so big, I think we still don’t see it all. At 2:00 we make our way to church to attend the singles ward. It is a lot of fun. We run into the missionaries that we had met earlier last week. They still remember me and we talk for a while.
After church we leave for Hyde Park. It is a beautiful, vast expanse of green grass and colorful flowers. There are little walkways lined with a variety of trees, classic black lampposts, and wooden park benches. People are everywhere, mothers herding their children, couples holding hands, men walking their dogs. It is a lovely day with the warm sun in the blue sky. It doesn’t feel foreign to me at all, it feels like home.
We head over to Covent Garden and walk around the market place, scoping out the entertainment. I see a street performer that peaks my interest so we stop and watch. As I watch, thing start feeling familiar. I think I saw this same guy, doing the exact same show, in the same place, 4 years ago. I lean over to Jenna and say, “I bet you he’ll strip down to a Speedo and get on that unicycle.” And sure enough, within a few minutes, that is exactly what he does. It’s the kind of performance that you remember. I am totally amazed that he is still doing the same show, and that I just happened upon it again four years later. Really quite an amazing moment.
